Opponents of Donald Trump made up allegations of Russian interference in last year’s US elections to discredit him, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at his annual press conference Thursday.
“All this was made up by people who are opposed to Trump so as to delegitimise his work,” the president said in response to a question about allegations of Russian influence.

FAAN begins repair works on Enugu Airport runway

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria on Thursday began repair works on the runway of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.

Mrs Herrienta Yakubu, the General Manager in charge of Corporate Affairs, FAAN, stated this in a statement she  issued in Lagos on Thursday.
She said that the first phase of the repair works would run from Dec.14 to Dec. 21, 2017, while the second phase would be between Dec. 27, 2017 and Jan. 4, 2018.

Controversial American rapper, 50 Cent, has slammed actor/rapper Tyrese again after it was reported that he missed two visitations with his daughter.

This supposed to be Tyrese's best interest, and a core family issue that should not invite third party's opinion, but 50 Cent did not think it should be that way.

50 Cent, who shared Tyrese's caption, where he was pictured with his daughter on Instagram, wrote;

“Damn boy, get off your phone shut your IG page down. Oh and um sell me that watch you got on in this picture. I’ll give you half price. LOL #50centralbet #frigo #power”

Zimbabwe's incoming leader Emmerson Mnangagwa has hailed a "new and unfolding democracy" after returning from exile to replace Robert Mugabe

He also vowed to create jobs in a country where some estimates say 90% of people are unemployed.

"We want to grow our economy, we want peace, we want jobs, jobs, jobs," he told a cheering crowd in Harare.

Mr Mnangagwa, who fled to South Africa two weeks ago, is to be made the new president on Friday, state TV said.

His dismissal led the ruling party and the military to intervene and force an end to Mr Mugabe's 37-year long rule.

He told supporters at the headquarters of the ruling Zanu-PF party that he had been the subject of several assassination plots and thanked the army for running the "process" of removing Mr Mugabe peacefully.
